SAM is happily participating in WALKDONTRUN!
WALKDONTRUN is a community arts event that activates Seattle’s urban parks, sidewalks, plazas, and downtown storefronts with art, music, and performance along a 20-block route from Westlake Park to Occidental Square.
The event begins at 11 am in Westlake Park and concludes in Occidental Square at 7:30 pm. Along the way, stop in at Seattle Art Museum to connect with SAM’s community partners as they share their artistic practices, passions, and creative perspectives through hands-on art making, live music, and interactive experiences inspired by our collections and exhibitions.
Programs in SAM’s entry gathering spaces are always free and open to everyone. Bring your curiosity and imagination, we’ll provide the rest.
KNOSUBZ South Hall Entrance Founder of the collective Cuethemusic.fm, DJ, music producer, and curator, Knosubz delivers a powerful blend of fast-paced, dynamic energy through an eclectic mix of Club, Juke, House, and Techno, honoring and preserving the soul of Black dance music.
Build your own Little Guy with Just Little Guys South Hall Entrance Meet artist Alyssa Johnson (they/them) of Just Little Guys and learn how to sculpt your own googly-eyed Hammering Man Little Guy to take home. Making friends in Seattle can be tough sometimes, but little guys are forever!

Seattle Art Museum
Seattle Art Museum (SAM) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest cultural institution across three sites: the Seattle Art Museum downtown; the Seattle Asian Art Museum in historic Volunteer Park; and the Olympic Sculpture Park, a free nine-acre waterfront park.
